We have it on the boat with IR integrated into the 19" displays. I can see a lobster pot more than a mile away, very cool stuff. It should be for the price-28k installed.

here, on frf
its not going to appear on the factory monitor add a second monitor about 9 inches or some visor mirrors.... Standard 4 channel DVR about 299 and I can get cameras for 50 to 5000 dollars depending on what you want to see... FLIR with PTZ costs a bit more...
thats where nav-tv comes in handy. you can get their flir setup and have it appear on the oem screen

Yea I contemplated and could have went that route but I like the view better on top of the dash plus wanted to have the DVR set up. So the monitor was a perfect set up. It also allows me to add 4 additional cameras in addition to the flir . Which I will start with two and have ability to expand. This would be an awesome set up for long distance night time off road racing..

I'm lost... is someone adding $28K worth of thermal imaging equipment to their raptor?

What is the benefit?

Sorry for the novice questions...
thanks

No it is not a 28k set up it is a little pricey but not that much. The benefit is visibility at night whether at high speeds in the desert and dust or on a long dark road allows for approx. 1000-1500 ft of visibility. and the two additional cameras will be recording at all times when the vehicle is on as not only a safety/security thing if involved in an accident but also cool for recording the trails and desert.
