So you order the truck and wait anywhere from 4 months - 8 months, and when your truck shows up it’s missing stuff Ford promised (and you ordered)? That to me is a hard pass!
Yeah, pretty lame. The classy way to handle it would have been to offer deletions in return for a quicker delivery. Or announce that all vehicles ordered after today will be missing certain features. Lumbar would be a deal killer for me as well. If I had waited months for an order and then had that particular rug pulled out from under me I would be furious. Ford doesn't care today, but it might matter down the road. Typical short-term corporate thinking. Toyota peed in my Cheerios thirty years ago and I haven't bought another, despite peer pressure.

They un-promise stuff before the truck arrives giving you the choice to accept it or opt out.

That's right. But if I had waited six months and then had to opt out because they took away the most important feature for me, the lumbar, I'd go ballistic. I'd be less upset if the center screen went away. Folks with bad backs need the lumbar. A bunch of healthy kids made that decision. Too bad they forgot that the typical Raptor buyer is an old man ....

It looks like it's only on the active motion seats with the seat bottom massage. I don't really care about the active motion seats and I'm too poor to afford them anyway.

I'm with you on this one. After 3 back surgeries and a double level fusion, a good adjustable lumbar support is not just a nice little extra.

I think that they should at the very least contact the individual customer with an "approval of changes" form to sign off on. That would allow the customer to agree or deny to the deletion of those items. If they don't agree to it, Ford can put their order back in que and find someone who doesn't need/mind those items being deleted. (some would rather wait on certain items)
A purchase order with a deposit is legal contractual agreement. Ford has no right to unilaterally change that contract, even if they do offer a discount.

This is like McDonalds offering Big Macs without the two all beef patties, but giving us a 40 cent discount. What's the point? :whymewhyme:

It's unclear to me, but I'm not up to speed on the options

I don't think you can get massaging seats on a Raptor so the loss of active motion seats shouldn't effect Raptors?
That's why I was asking before if Raptors even came with Parking assist, that list is for all f150's in general, not just Raptors. Another question while I am here, makinga fool of myself, is, is that different than the trailer back up feature or is there 2 separate features? 1) parking assist to me would be parrallel parking which mellenials can't seem to do anymore. 2) backing up your trailer assist, which mellenails can't do either. Go ahead, start the bullying......
