MBRP Turndown Exhaust
Simple, straight forward installation. For Super Cab applications, you will have to trim the mid-pipe 12" which can be done easily with a mildly sharp sawzall blade or cutting wheel. Be sure to file/grind down any burrs to facilitate clamp connections.
VERY loud at high RPM. Considerable drone/rumble under load at low RPM around 55MPH and 80MPH.
30 minute install. To remove the stock exhaust, drop the spare tire and lift the passenger side by the frame about 10". You will be able to snake the stock exhaust up and over the axle, be careful of ABS lines. The stock exhaust is not that heavy, but it is a lot easier with 2 people to guide the exhaust out from under the truck.
The MBRP Turndown installs with 2 hangers/clamps and 2 flange bolts. Do not tighten anything down until you're satisfied with the alignment of the exhaust. Make sure you have the 2 exhaust hangers facing away from each other and as tight in the rubber mounts as possible so the exhaust doesn't shift around too much.
