The under the hood light is like a spare tire. You might not ever need it, but when you need it....you need it. I also use it for oil changes in my garage because the ceiling lights get blocked by my hood, I used it once to jump start a friend at night (ok I didn't need it then, but I was excited to use it lol). I also used it while installing my AFE intake. It replaces hanging a drop light off your hood latch for those occasions.

Why not tie Rods...I would think that would be one of the weakest point on the front?

If you only drive on pavement, the stock tie rods are just fine.

I find myself using that flashlight app even when I have a flashlight in arms reach. WTF wrong with me? That is a rhetorica question, meaning I really don't want to hear the answer(s).

Update: Don't run out and get this setup just yet. There is a problem where my subwoofer keeps cutting out at high volumes. I was on the phone with Noah at The Car Stereo Company who was helping me troubleshoot. This only occurred after installing the rear speakers with crossovers. Either A) I screwed up installing the speakers. B) This is one hell of a coincidence and the problem lies with my JL subwoofer or amp. Or C) The JL crossovers are somehow wigging out my factory amp and electronics to cause the signal cutout to my sub amp.

currently installed : JL C5 570 front component speakers with crossovers running the tweeters, rear coaxial JL C3 570 with crossovers, PAC LOC to JL 250/1v2 sub amp running a JL W0v3 10" sub using factory sub signal.
