I've been running version 2 the latest revision for a couple days now. All I have to say is it is fricken dialed! Pulls harder on low end, shifts into 6th sooner when cruising, crisper throttle response, truck will shift from 2-1 when cruising at about 20mph and you mash the pedal. All shifts are super smooth when cruising and nice and firm when ripping through the gears. I absolutely love it! It's always right there when you hammer the pedal to the floor and is very consistent! Thank you Jeff!

I tried that today . . about 4 to 5 times.

Mine would only downshift from 2 --> 1 at 15 to 16mph.

At 20mph - no go - just accelerates from 2 gear.

Hmmm, What Version Do I Have?

On the fence here thinking about a new tune.

Just installed 4.56 gears LOVE HOW It Pulls now !!

Will the new tune be written for the gears I have now?

Truck seems to shift to soon I think it should stay in gear a little longer and wait for 6th after 60mph as also noted in a post in this thread.

Even with 37" tires and 4.56's 6th gear @ 60mph would be turning some pretty high revs. Cruising at 55 in 5th would probably get annoying

I tuned my 2014 SCrew on Friday and in my book it is as advertised. The biggest thing to me was the responsiveness and that has changed. It shifts how I want it too. Thanks Jeff for all your help.

just curious why you wanted to change the gear ratio?

I have been thinking about it for a while and can't decide.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Installed "The Tune" this past weekend and can definitely tell a difference. Responsiveness and shifting has improved for the good. In no way do I regret purchasing and installing.

Lost the pinion bearing at 160,000 miles

Fig if I am going to open it up to replace bearings I am going to change ratio to 4.56.

NOTE I have a 2011 screw / Thinking that I got full master kit from Randys Ring Pinion .

After I opened it up the new pinion bearing was way to big.

Turns out I got one of the first screws and it has a 2010 rear end.
So check your number on rear end first. When you order parts.

LIKE !!! YES !!! These trucks should have left the factory with 4.56 .

I live in east TN Knoxville lotsa hills now truck does not have to down shift every few min at the next little hill it can stay in 6th with light press on gas it pulls with out down shift.

Only put 1200 miles on the new gears as of today will change out fluid this weekend and then run it harder.

Note welded in some BlueFab drain/fill plug bungs on stock cover .

Will get pics if any one asks

Sorry for off topic

Anyone bounced off the rev limiter with V2. Gunned it from a dead start last night and it felt like it bounced off the rev limiter before shifting to 2nd. Not a huge deal, just haven't experienced it before

@nsdq3 Yeah, I bounced off the rev limiter once pretty early on after I isntalled the new tune. Hasn't happened since though.
