I was confused at first because I thought 2.0 was going to be an update but it turns out to be its own tune.

So if it's a .cef file load it like you would any other email tune, in my case it was marked something along the lines of 'no description', so rename it svc 2 or whatever and load it on up.

^^ I'm no mechanic or tuner though, that's just how it went for me.

Jeff was of course there to text me back at 11pm est to help me figure it out.

Yes, the files come named differently and you can give them descriptive names in the Tuner. I have SVC Tune, SVC Tune v2 (with adjusted idle) and now SVC Tune v3 (the new one). As long as you know which one is which, you'll be good to go.

I tried the new one today, and I did notice a slight increase in "twitchiness". I call "twitchiness" that first microsecond reaction of the truck when you press the accelerator. Throttle response, ya. But I call it "twitchiness" because the more aggresive the setting, the more twitchy the truck feels to me.

Highway driving felt identical to me.

From a complete stop, the 2-3 gear change felt harder. Although I haven't driven it enough for the PCM to "learn" my style. So I'm giving it a few days before I switch back to my previous version. I know some guys prefer their trucks "twitchy". I don't. I will however give it a little bit longer to see if it grows on me, because it wasn't that twitchy anyway. These is all very subjective. Different strokes for different folks.

I completely agree with you @ZBoater about the twitchyness off throttle. I like it though. I want any available power to be applied as soon as I touch the throttle. But i also am used to driving high hp vehicles that redline just by breathing on the throttle, so to me it's welcome.

Even though still going through a automatic transmission, the off throttle response feels a lot like a manual trans IMO because of the sensitivity.

I've been running version 2 the latest revision for a couple days now. All I have to say is it is fricken dialed! Pulls harder on low end, shifts into 6th sooner when cruising, crisper throttle response, truck will shift from 2-1 when cruising at about 20mph and you mash the pedal. All shifts are super smooth when cruising and nice and firm when ripping through the gears. I absolutely love it! It's always right there when you hammer the pedal to the floor and is very consistent! Thank you Jeff!
