That is the handheld i got from treypal as well. Just the list he put together is fine. Not sure on range yet. We will find out this weekend there is an extended antenna you can buy. Can't remember where but someone posted it on treypals group buy thread.

Turf tamer, that sounds awesome and would love to bbq, but i have a two hour drive back to Vegas. Plus family riding with me that needs to be back in town that evening

With the 5-watt handhelds, you'll typically get 1-2 miles, depending on the terrain. It's decent if the group stays together, but if you have a fast group and guys get spread out, the 50-watt radios are a MUST!

With the run you're doing, I'm sure you'll be fine with that... as long as people wait at the turns to make sure each truck sees them, in case their radio is out of range.

Well it sounds like we have a "lead, mid, rear truck" so we should be good.

The fellowship of FRF is simply Amazing!!

I have recently experienced this comradery first hand,
by fellow FRF member Jeff. And I would like to thank Jeff
for selflessly volunteering his ICOM handheld radio, for
me to use during the RPG SEMA Run...

This act was totally unexpected, and fiscally($$$)
helps me out, while in Vegas!! Thanks again Jeff!!

I will take care of the ICOM and return it in better
condition than I received it!!
