The reasons why I can't justify buying a Gen 2

I picked my Gen 2 over a 40k mile '14 for $45K was because I don't know or want to learn the expensive way those 40k were driven. $15k more and I got a new truck with 11 miles, fantastic interest rate, etc. both gens are fantastic but my gut told me what to do.

Mistaken. It was $61k, 801A SCREW. Drove 300 miles west for it but I got it. Not everyone pays a ridiculous markup for these things

Thanks man! I've wanted one forever and in 2014 we were in the process of buying a new home and couldn't pull the trigger at the time. Had bought a run of the mill 15 Lariat soon after and while it was a great vehicle, it was too boring for me and decided to look seriously. But like many, I saw dozens of dealerships marking up these *************. Took me 2 months and found it under my nose

I just saw an avalanche in person and i have to say wow! I love that color...almost enough to buy one.
However...
Let me tell you what i dont like:
-rear dual exhaust (looks like a dodge)
-the rear bumper... Just look at it for a while, looks like a fat guys speedo
-the side steps. Tear drop holes? Seriously the gen 1 should have those ones and the gen 2 have the gen 1's (glad they dont because the new ones are heinous)
-new mirrors suck balls, you can't see nearly as well and they look stubby
-dash...i like the round vents. Not that squared off look
-its not a SVT raptor. Ford performance? I'll take that along with some cheesy chrome valve covers [emoji23]
- the hood, specifically how the grill isn't attached. Weak sauce. Also look at chevys new Colorado zr2 lol identical
-just the name "Ecoboost"
-im not going to get into the obvious *cough* lawnmower sound and trying to mask it with electrictronic v8 sounds [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

What i do like:
-10 speed trans. That thing is ******* awesome
-avalanche
-aluminum
-turbos (not necessarily on a v6)
-fox 3.0

Verdict:
I'm perfect happy with my truck so I'm staying put. I've heard the v8 is coming back to the raptor... Then I'm in. If it doesn't, eh, times are changing... So never say never
