Can't you carry most your gear in or on the raptor ?

Definitely can. I guess we're planning on going slower than the impression I got in the trailer. Usually, when I want to push, I leave the camping gear out of the truck.

Their are these tie down assemblies that work great fro holding all the gear down. They are machined aircraft grade aluminum extrusion -Backing plate secures under bottom side of mounting floor or wall -Fitting is made from aircraft quality single stud with ring -2,000 lb. Horizontal pull -4,000 lb. Vertical pull -Worlking load capacity of 500 lb. horizonta, 1,000 lb. vertical.

I much prefer to leave the camping gear behind when "raging on the trails." Sure the Raptor can carry it but it performs better without the weight and the gear actually survives when it's not a "passenger." Setting up camp in the desert and coming back at the end of the day sounds good to me or, we can just do a day trip. Either one sounds good.

Do I have to drill to install this thing? If so, can I drill on Line-X?
