NO NO NO! Your dealer has no clue. Once your order gets pulled you can not change the options on that order.

Quick update on my "is it a new order or not" question:

According to the dealer, if the cab configuration is changed then the order goes to the back of the list. Any other change to the order (wheels, paint, interior, etc.) does not result in the order changing place in the list.

So...yeah, we'll see how this pans out. Apparently the dealer is stacking my order with two trucks so that "if I change my mind again" they don't have to change the order. Once the order is pulled, they will add all the options I didn't pick to whichever cab configuration I don't want.

You are somewhat on the right track. For example, you ordered beadlock wheels but Ford does not have beadlock wheels because their supplier is slow. This is called a material hold in that Ford can't build your truck without the beadlocks so your order will simply sit in the order bank. But let's say Ford all the sudden gets beadlocks in stock. At this point they could decide to pull all orders in the order bank that were waiting on beadlocks. I am sure there are a more variables in play that goes into whether or not your order gets pulled but simply put, your truck can't get built without the necessary materials.

No, I meant as far as the options you choose, ie exterior color, graphics packages, etc. Looks like it doesn't really matter but I thought it might. For instance if there is a supplier holdup on a particular paint.

Just parroting back what they told me. You'd think a salesman who's been at it for 30 years would have a clue about Ford's ordering system. You'd think.

Either way, SVT has confirmed that there are two trucks on my order, one SuperCab and one SuperCrew. The dealer has said the SuperCab is mine and the SuperCrew will be theirs.

Back to the waiting game.

I know 2 guys that order black but in viewing their window sticker a mistake was made in the color and in reality Ford was going to build Silver trucks. This mistake was caught 1 week before the actual build. You would think, Ford would just correct the color and continue with the build but NO. They created 2 new builds with 2 new VINs but this time in black. Once your truck gets pulled and gets a VIN, everything about that truck is set in stone. No changes can be made.

Today marks one week before my build date. Website is not showing a window sticker yet for my VIN. Has SVT been pretty reliable about having this ready one week prior, or is that just a ballpark?

My dealer was telling me all orders get upgraded to priority 1 just before they're built or pulled. I can't remember exactly how he stated it. Maybe blood can clarify. But I'd be shocked if you're not pulled tomorrow.
