My guess would be so people drive the same path instead of everyone driving all over the area ruining the landscape!

Haaa haa, it’s a hiking trail created by the Navagationally Challenged, that can’t walk in a circle a few miles around a Mountain without getting FNING LOST ( No Offense to anyone )
Believe me I’ve taught those folks in Land Navigation classes and two steps into the woods, they start suffering from Cranium Rectitus…
