I love it! The front shot looks so aggressive. Great evolution into the second gen. The interior is amazing. Don't really like the tailgate much, but I do like the bumpers. All of this special transfer case talk just means more nannies to me. And I hate all forms of traction control. I really am not into a V6 really hoping for a v8 option. My biggest question, Where are the 3 red clearance light is the cargo light? that is one of my favorite features.

Have you not even read the basic specs of the Ecoboost motors? The 3.5 in the 2015 navigator makes 460tq at 2750RPM the Raptor makes 434 at 4500RPM

Which is a significant improvement over what the 6.2 has down low.

Sad to see the SVT name go away to a generic "ford performance"

Tailgate is hideous

Please do not have a the fake sound BS the other F150s have. I want the V8 noise under the hood not a fake audio of a V8 coming from my speakers!

Disappointed with a ecoboost option but only time will tell if its better then the current engines. I would be concerned with low end torque. typically low displacement motors have a hard time with this. however you have two smaller turbos mounted very close to the heads to correct the turbo lag. I have driven the ecoboost in the regular F150 and do not care for it. Honestly think the 5.0 runs better. It will be interesting to see how these hold up to the abuse. What concerns me is the longevity. More shit to go wrong in the dirt. I get the drive behind the ecoboost line up but serious who buys a raptor for fuel mileage?! or green tree peace? you buy a raptor because its a raptor not Prius!

Bottom line is ford isn't stupid and they are not going to let the F150 flop on its ass, Im sure this will be one sweet ride.

And I'd expect even better on that motor they're going to tweak. However, I'm not a fan of direct injection for overall longevity/maintenance required, but it is going to be sweet to see it and also see how much the aftermarket sector can pump it up.

FWIW, the 3.5 Ecoboost in the 2015 Navigator gets 380hp@5250 an 460tq@2750. VS 411@5500 and 434@4500 for the 6.2L

It also gets 16city/22hwy for mileage, which let's be honest, does matter if you drive a lot. I spent >$7000 on fuel the first year I owned by truck.

Apples to oranges. Ones NA and the other is boosted. You're going to max out at 600hp with the V6 because that's what they were able to squeeze out of the GT. Meanwhile, I can slap a supercharger on the 6.2 and get 685hp. Rebuild the engine and you're looking at 800.

It's just too small of a platform to build off of. Takes all of the fun out of it. I get they are trying to show off the ecoboost but they are limiting the Raptor and the GT.

Wow, crazy how much a color can ruin your first impression.

As something from the factory? You're probably right.

My car(Evo) made 894hp and 715tq out of a 2.3L, and that is actually measured at the wheels, not numbers at the crank.

The V6 in the Nissan GTR has made >1900whp in a couple of the major shop's development cars. AMS and ETS.

Both those platforms, the 4G63 and VR38DETT have huge aftermarket support.

Try to buy a "build" for the 6.2. Livernois doesn't stock the internals, the one guy on the forum here that has the big build with the blower and "built" motor ended up having to get one-off custom parts(pistons, cam, etc) made for his.

The most important thing here, is that whatever engine that ends up in the Raptor is shared with either the Mustang or GT, so that there is actual aftermarket support

And how much do you actually need for the dirt? Don't baja-winning trucks have 800ish?

After a few hours to digest everything, I have to admit it's already growing on me. It doesn't have the initial wow factor our has imo but I'm growing into it (if that makes any sense lol!). Still struggling with a ttv6 (sound and durability?) but I guess those big v8 days are just fading away whether we like it or not. They had better make sure that the reliability factor is up to ***** for what these vehicles will go through in the desert. With that said, I'm still saving up to add one to the stable but they'll never get my 2013!!!

Love Hate Affair

I love FRF. I have been reading members responses on the next gen Raptor. IT'S A LOVE/HATE affair for sure.

When I read some of the current owners comments towards the TT 3.5, it reminds me of a scene from "The Ringer."
