Sean kicked the Raptor in it ass all the way to The Peabody in Memphis!

Breakfast checkpoint we were out of the hunt.. Sean an I switched places we came in 3rd the the hotel check in we got 7th place!

I think we are keep the same strategy for tomorrow.. Even though there were several tire issues and some of the other teams were delayed. In my book, top 10 in a Raptor among these guys is flat out amazing!

The truck performed flawlessly! During the lunch stop Sean and I talked about how it was handling at "higher speeds"
So, thanks to ICON we were able to tighten up the suspension and tweak it to Seans liking.. He was holding his own very well.. The issue is it is not a sportscar.. About little over the limiter the double stack lightbar adds a huge amount of drag. So much when you crack open the window the roof deflects in and makes a loud bang..

This is our first year.. We are learning and getting better..

While it is fresh I am going to document what I need to change/upgrade on the Raptor to make it more competitive next year.

First and foremost tires... While the duratracs have been incredible, they can not handle the long distance high speed driving.. They limit the top speed which is necessary for the highway sections!

Brakes and rotors.... Tail of the dragon took a toll on them.. The Raptor is a heavy pig and needs all the brakes we can shove in the wheels!

Driveshaft needs to be upgraded to a Dennys or high angle driveline..

For reliability a livernois 6.6 would be the ticket!

Fuel cell... The raptor has been pulling impressive 11.1mpg at high speeds! That has been a huge advantage having good range...
