My wife is asking me what I'm going to do with all of my free time when this thing finally gets here.

Just wait for the 17s to be loaded on the trains for delivery. That process seems like it takes for ever! If waiting now seems like a ride, just wait for that. You'll want to slit your wrists....

The wait will be brutal. DORA first, then it will be scheduled, then a VIN assigned, then actual production. Once completed it may sit until they have enough vehicles to fill a truck/rail car. My 2011 sat for almost 2 weeks before it started moving. Then you have travel time, transport to dealer, dealer prep, then finally you get to see your baby. Taking orders is just the very first step in a lengthy process. Orders likely won't be pulled for production until November. Buckle up, it's a long rough ride.

What will you do with you free time once it arrives? Shop for mods of course.

^^^It's been so long, I forgot how they pull these vehicles for assembly. SilverBolt, you jarred my memory. It will be awhile for the 17's to show up. Ah, that wait sucks.....

Wasn't there an issue with trucks that had bed decals. If I can remember correctly, I think they had to be shipped from Dearborn to another facility to have them applied. I think that took another month or so.

I do remember something about decal delays. Mine didn't have the graphics so it was good.

If you get an update of "scheduled & clean" you will soon be getting a VIN. You do not want to see "scheduled & hold". That means there is a hold on the line. Could be anything from a parts shortage to defects. I ordered a new 97 150 when the new design was release. I got the dreaded hold for a wheel shortage. That ended up being a 6 week delay.
