I liked it too. I imagine Ford got tired of people whining about it becoming discolored/damaged and asking for warranty replacement. Will probably save a lot of $$$ in reducing warranty claims
Ford kept it on the Ranger Raptor and Bronco Raptor, so I don’t think that’s the case. Pretty dumb those vehicles get it, but the OG Raptor doesn’t.

As you can see, the rear seats are nearly identical to the 35's. So, for the $11,400 premium you get 37" tires, different wheels, ONLY 2 Recaro front seats and different shocks (may be slightly better, may not be noticeable) and that is it. If you are like me and want different wheels and maybe tires, it becomes less appealing. I now see why Ford made the 35' wheels so hideous, to lure people to pay a hidden ADM.
Life is very simple, you either want it or you don’t. If money is a factor then you shouldn’t be in the conversation. It’s a 80k plus pickup, 11k or for that much 15k isn’t enough to make a sound about unless you’ve lost at the crying game and looking for your lost teddy bear. Cowboy the **** up and get the truck you want.

Being that the Ranger and Bronco are very new, I imagine the supply chain's teaming agreement, requirement contract, whatever was well in place with the suppliers by the time the F150 call was made. The new F150 Raptor refresh was probably a restart of some of the contracts and someone decided to save some $$$ on the steering wheels. I might not have it exactly right but I guarantee someone did a trade study on getting rid of that red marker and they saw a huge savings from the change. Im in a different industry but we do trade studies like that all the time. I suspect warranty claims but maybe I'm wrong.

Come refresh time on the Braptor, I bet that red marker is gone.

It’s a solid choice, now for those paying markups … they might have the tism… only the Rs should be fetching anything above msrp at this point with the rates and market… my opinion

People need to find a dealership that’s worth a damn. I have to drive over an hour to my dealership but they sell at MSRP all day. Except R.

Anyone have an opinion about the steering wheel center stripe being basically deleted? That was one of the small things that defined the original raptor and its roots. I was disappointed with them deleting it.
I like what they did for the 2024 steering wheel. I was never a fan of the red stripe. Between the steering wheel and the HUD, that is what kept me holding out for a 24

Those were two of the things that made me seek out a 2023. Red stripe is the raptors heritage right from baja, and the HUD reminds me of something from 1997. Sorry, not a fan, but to each their own. Glad you like it.
