Tesla violated the law by failing to notify NHTSA and issue a recall for a safety issue with their BS “auto pilot” system that was causing the vehicles to run into the back of emergency vehicles on the highway. They covered the issue up and sent out an OTA update without notifying federal regulators. Never mind the fact that they were using customer deposits to build vehicles, that’s called a Ponzi scheme.
