Technology Package worth it?

I would ignore the people who haven't tried ACC who are saying it's not worth it. Most of their objections aren't even true. It is probably my favorite feature on the truck. I have done 10k miles in 4 months and it has changed the way I think about road trips. If you want to pass some, you just hit the accelerator and do it -- the system doesn't interfere or even turn off. It just resumes once you're done. The rest of the time, when you just want to cruise down the road you set the following distance and forget about it. It takes so much stress out of the drive. I also find myself being less rageful as I don't mind when someone is going slower as much because I don't really have to react. They usually get out of the way eventually and the car just speeds up again. Losing a few seconds or even minutes on a 1,000 mi drive isn't even worth me changing lanes most times.

My only complaints are that it doesn't go all the way down to 0mph. That would be outstanding and something I would easily pay $5k for.

Third most overpriced option: Tech package

Upside is the tech package at least adds functionality to the truck. It's only 3% of the price of a loaded Raptor and is nice to have. It is worth it? No. Am I glad I got it? Yes.

I actually really wish that you could order the tech package without 802A (I think you actually can on other F150 models)

For road trips I almost always use cruise control, and not having to continuously readjust would be great. But alas the 802A is already 4.2k more than my proposed 801A build, and can't pay 6k just for the ACC...

This is very true. I love my stickers though. I wish that I would have known about rappy graphics before I got those stickers. 2K can buy a lot great after market goodies.

Totally agree with this. I had never tried ACC before buying my raptor. I was on the fence as to whether or not I would order the tech package, but eventually I did (since I was already going 802A). I drove my truck 1,100 miles from my dealer back home (over two days). I didn't use the ACC for the first 300 of the trip because it wasn't on by default when I picked up the truck. I enabled it for the second leg of the journey. That was the least strenuous 800 miles I've ever driven. ACC (and the lane keep assist) totally changes long road trips and makes them much more enjoyable IMHO.

I don't have to drive in stop and go traffic often, but if they put the full stop (i.e. down to 0mph) AAC in the 2019's, I may be ordering another truck just to get that.

I think in a few more years the standard cruise control will be obsolete but the adaptive. Adaptive is the new technology for cruise control, the standard has been around for way too long and I had it on my previous truck and never used it because I constantly have to break then it cancels then I have to reset and it just goes in circles...

I agree with the others in favor of ACC and the tech package. With nearly 8000 miles in less than three months, I echo the comments that suggest ACC entirely changes long-distance driving (for the better). If you can afford a truck with this high of a price tag, you're crazy not to add the tech package. Leave off the stickers and CF, but don't leave this option off IMHO.

Looks like I ordered the perfect truck then. Everything except the most overpriced options.
