So I have a 22 37's on order. The Raptor is basically my dream truck and I am beyond excited to own one. My current order was Nov 8th, with a 3/7 build date now pushed to 3/21 (I'm not complaining about the push, we are all dealing with it). The reality is that it's probably going to be pushed a few more times and then likely even more delays after it's "built".

The dilemma is this.. i'm waiting for a truck that is nearly 6 figures (yes I have ADM that puts me in the 90s). Even at MSRP 84K is substantial. Also this market is inflated.. we all know it. What's going to happen when supplies normalize, inventory grows and this waiting is done. Will our values tank?

I'm considering just buying a used truck to get me through these times and then revisit the raptor in a few years when things are more normal. I'm sure you've all had similar thoughts. What kept you on the Raptor train?

Inflation isn't slowing down soon. Since you ordered, the base price has increased about $4400. I would be shocked if there isn't another increase before your truck arrives.

The ADMs will disappear, but the prices aren't coming down.

Well, I never got on the Gen 3 train as I don't want to pay ADM and deal with the logistics and waiting and crap. However, I don't think I'd jump off now that you're this close to the front of the line.

We don't know when things are going to return to normal. Even then, it's entirely possible that some ADM is still the norm and/or inflation has put MSRP to what you're paying now. And even though Raptors are depreciating assets, they hold value better than most. It's also a good time to take out a loan before interest rates start climbing back up again.

Honestly, if I didn't already have a Gen 2, there's a good chance I would be in your shoes.

I hear you. There are many us that ordered back in June and had to reorder for 22. The raptor is worth the wait and i'm waiting. I bought a my companies XL crew cab beater just to get me to the Raptor finish line. When i sell it, i'll come out at min even but probably 3-5k in my pocket. Win win

My Oct order still has no build date. So I gave up and paid 6 over for a 37. If I was in your shoes and had a build date and VIN I would’ve just waited out my order (it was for MSRP). But now having the truck for 5 days and drove it home 1600 miles, I can say it’s phenomenal and I wouldn’t want to wait ‘a few years’. It’s that awesome man. Wait it out!

Have you priced out "Used Trucks?" I'd keep your order for the Raptor and just wait
I have.. I have a couple Tundra TRD Pro's at about 60 (previous Gen). Still very high, but saves me over 30K. And I really like the styling of those, plus the roll down back window. Of course nothing like the styling of the Raptor... but over 30K savings !!!

I have friends with TRD Pro's and they are great vehicles but they in no way, compete with what a Raptor can do offroad. It all comes down to how you will use it and how you'll react every time you see a Gen 3 Raptor in the wild. As in "man, I should have just been patient" Haha. Or pick up a Gen 2, you are right in the price range and there is nothing wrong with a Gen 2.
