Tailgate Applique Stain

Need some advise.
Im going to be doing a full day of exterior cleaning on my truck. This stain has been on the tailgate since I bought it (looks like they got allitle carried away with the buffer and wax).
Any ideas on how to remove this? Is it just plastic trim that a restorer would work on? Just don't want to make anything worse and its honestly driving me nuts looking at it.

Would something like this be covered under warranty? Looks to me like it could of been wax that dried to the plastic.

Try the plastic trim restorer on a small section first. I had something similar but they were smaller blems that went away went I applied the black trim restorer.

try some isopropyl alcohol mixed with some water 50/50.
