Tail lights not working

I’m having tail light issues, the only way they work is to bypass everything in the engine compartment with a lead from brake switch to the tail light wires.. any idea what failed?

fuse? bcm? need some more specifics bob....... when did they work last? what work has been done?

Fuses all good, relays tested good- bcm should have some symptoms... no work/upgrades done..

It’s just funny that I have no other symptoms, everything works great- just no tail lights..

New brake pedal switch, it was cheap. Also the wire from the switch, I tapped off of that by the firewall to the two brake light wires. Works like it should- just bypasses the real problem.

What year truck? Have you pulled DTCs with ForScan?
