Tail gate question

I am upgrading from my 2017 Gen 2 - ordering a 2023. I have a moonroof now, but don't want one in my new truck. I'm fine without a power tailgate, but will I still get the step in the tailgate without the moonroof package?

You could add an Amp rear bumper step. Had one on my 2019 Ram and liked it.

The step is extra weight and makes the tail gate heavy - 120 pounds and I would skip it of I could. Ford super duty is moving to a step in the number and handle slot in the rail similar to GMC. This may trickle down eventually.
