hello all, So I recently grabbed a 2019 802a Raptor, and so far so good. To tell you a bit about myself, I've been a Tacoma nut for quite some time. Just sold my '07 2nd gen that I bought new.
:( was a bit rough letting her go, especially when you slowly built it up over the years. As a truck enthusiasts, and im sure you all will agree, we are always checking out rides. I knew I was going to pick up something newer, but nothing was really popping. Safe road was to go get a new Tacoma or even jump to a 4 runner... Raptors have always caught my eye tho. But I would talk you all down, like where are they [raptor owners] going. You don't need that, yada-yada-yada. Then I thought about it and I started saying "they can go anywhere they damn well please " lol, so yes im in and glad I took the jump.
I already ordered my ditch lights from bd and let the fun begin...
Look forward to the fourm, I have been reading your conversations over the last month. Looks like great help. Thanks guys

Slap a tune on that bad boy and really wake it up! No more 10th gear at 35 mph! No more auto start stop! 500hp/600 ft/lbs!

Welcome, I too just stepped up from my third (2013) Tacoma and Three previous Toyota's, a gen 2, a Hilux turbo diesel while stationed in a Japan and an 83' SR5 prior to that. Indestructible vehicles (except for one I blew up in Iraq with a 500lb LGB) I had been eyeing Raptors for awhile as well as Tundra TRD Pros, not unnoticed by my better half who loved my Tacoma's but hurt Her back on long hauls. On our anniversary this year while working in the yard a Leadfoot gray 18' Raptor pulled up my driveway with my name on it. For once I'm speechless...so far I love this beast, no wonder people like them so much. I haven't seriously got it dirty, yet. However, I took it into deep mud behind my place where tractors fear to tread, no worries. This thing Rocks!

Tell me more or point me in the right direction please. Does this void the warranty and drop our mpg to single digits? How does it impact sound? I love my truck but wish it was a bit more throaty sounding.

A tune won’t make it more throaty. A transmission tune can change your shift points. An intake will change the Tone a bit. An exhaust much. A tune may or may not cause warranty trouble depending on the problem and the dealer. I got a tune, intake, catch can, and intercooler. Intercooler would be highly recommended. A factory location one does wonders. I have not had engine trouble in any of my vehicles ever, so I figured it was worth tuning and making it run better that it already was. Good luck your truck.
