Sync will not see/play new material on USB drive?

I'm having trouble with Sync not seeing new music on my USB drive. If I plug it in my laptop it's there, but when I plug it in the truck, Sync acts as if it's not there. I did go into "Media" and tried to clear the memory. Is there a memory cache I'm missing?

Thanks, I tried that and it didn't help. I even called Ford and they didn't have a clue.

So, just to help a brother out, I have been using this new device called a R A D I O . It’s in the center stack above the heating / A/C controls.

I’ve been known to periodically use the phone, but a lot of people have posted about trouble with music on usb sticks so I never bothered with it.

Oh, and 2001 called. They want their technology back

It's works great for me most of the time. I copied all my cd's onto the USB in a wav lossless format that Noah taught me about. Gigantic improvement in sound quality. There's definitely the occasional odd glitch though.
