Sync v3.4 Update Out

Man, I have crap satellite internet at home and my truck sync just never updates. Isnt there a way to do it with a usb stick???

Ok, this is the weirdest thing. This morning I went to go fire-up my 2018. Dead battery. My battery is less than 10months old. So I jumped her and as soon as we were leaving, my son asked if I did a software update. I look at my screen and everything looks to be set to default. I thought maybe because of the dead battery. So I look up the sync version just because my son brought it up and Wha-La, the v3.4 update was applied. I do have Auto-Updates turned on but wasn't expecting it since someone stated earlier in this thread that a 2018 would need to be upgraded manually.

Anyone else encounter something like this? I am a little concerned about my battery draining though. I'm thinking I left the ignition on(push button) so the update applied and truck stayed on??? I'm confused

Mine has updated automatically a few months ago, but thankfully had no effect on my battery.

The only thing I have noticed with the new update is a new button for sat radio to do direct tune

On this update I’ve noticed sharper response when switching through menus, better CarPlay connectivity, looks like they added album art to SXM, and I haven’t lost my ambient lighting settings yet lol. I used the USB stick method to update both this time and last. It took roughly 35 minutes this update, file size was about 1.2gb. Overall update seems solid thus far
