Sync update V4.4

I wasn't sure if the non Nav and voice activated Nav for 2010 to 2012 were the same.
That's way I said "I believe".

In any case, Ford hasn't come out with a fix yet.

yeah go figure. I have a deposit down on a 2016 Focus RS which I am wondering if I will even get. I called Ford Customer Care and the guy said good luck with that as I was hanging up. I was like great customer service their moron. Ford ownership leaves a lot to be desired in the customer care category.

Subaru shows me the love with my XT Forester and Audi use to give me warm cookies in the service department. Ford gives me a big ole F U buddy and send them on their way.

If it was not for my Raptor then I would not own a Ford and more than likely will cancel the order on the RS and end up with the new redesigned STI.

Ford makes me cry or sick or light headed. Nothing warm and fuzzy nor endearing to make me want to drive their cars and trucks.

If you have a work around to get it installed.
Does the 4.4 allow text messaging to work again with a Droid Turbo 2?

If it's not on the candidates list for 4.4, I won't even bother.

Hi Michael,

The text messaging option is a phone dependent feature. Most times, users don't realize that they have to accept a notification (on their phone) to allow SYNC access to their personal text.

My old Droid Maxx HD work fine until Google upgrade the OS.

This is the phone I have now.
Sync's candidates list says the phone is good to go with texting.

Well, for my 2010 1/2 Sync with Voice Nav this is all I get on my "Ford Owners" web page for my Vin.
I tried the 4.4 but since it won't install I cannot confirm at the moment.

Plus the website has been updated because it used to show three installs of 3.1 over the past 5 years last one being 2014 when I did a Map update.




HA, I dug up my old backup drive and found a early pic of my Sync.



Shit! that's my daughter's 2013 Titanium Escape (LOL)

Thanks, MTF. When you paired the phone to the car, did you accept the request to allow SYNC access to your text? This message appears on the phone.

I still haven't gotten 4.4 working yet.
3.1 only allows hands free and media, when I pair the Droid Turbo 2.
A error message pops up when I hit the text menu on the Nav screen.
"No compatible phone found" or something like that.
