Like Dubbs said, if sync is being dumb pop the kick panel on the passenger side and open the fuse box. Top left side there is a blue 15 amp fuse that protects the SYNC computer. It will be the second fuse from the top. Pull and reinsert this to reset all the chaos. This skips the hassle of pulling the battery and reseting everything.

Try doing a master reset on your iPhone holding the menu button and power/lock together. I did this and it was a fix. It was more iPhone related than anything if you ask me. Every time you start your truck, for Bluetooth audio you will have to hit the media button and "line in" every time.

Having problems with the hands free phone feature on my 2013. It worked great for the first few days. Now I can hear the other party fine but they can barely hear me or they just hear crackling noise, static. I followed the above advice & deleted from both devices & reinstalled. Still have the same problem. Same problem with both phones (iphone 5 & 4s). I have not tried pulling the fuse, I will do that tomorrow. Also I will try and sync my blackberry & see if it is the same.

Called ford dealer & they said to try a different phone to see if it is the same. It worked great for a few days.

It's not necessarily the iPhone. My iP5 was stolen on Halloween and I had to use a Razr Maxx HD for a month. When I plugged it into USB, Sync told me it wasn't supported. It worked over bluetooth though, except for displaying song info (which doesn't work on my iPhone over BT either, but does via USB). Text Message dictation worked with the Droid though. I agree a hard reboot of the iPhone might fix it. If that doesn't work, delete the profile from Sync and the iPhone and try re-pairing them. If those don't work, try the fuse pull method to reset Sync.

Update: Sync'd Blackberry still can't be heard when using hands free cell. Pulled the fuse for sync & still same problem. Time to bring it back to Ford. Same problem 3 different phones.
