SYNC Alternate pairing codes

I was having an issue Bluetooth pairing my new phone to SYNC.. I went through the process and before I could get the 6 digit code typed into my phone, I would get a "failed" message. My phone would say "connected but not paired"

What I finally found out was that when SYNC displays the six digit code to enter into your phone you can hit the ">>" key and get an alternate 4 digit code. In my case, it was the old standard "0000".

I think what was happening was my phone was trying to automatically connect after 4 digits of the 6 digit SYNC code were entered. But when I used the alternate 4 digit option, I was able to pair on the first try.

Try tapping on the "SYNC" item that shows "paired but not connected". Think the Galaxy Nexus did this, but I did pair it with the 6-digit code.

SYNC seems a bit more finicky about pairing and seems to have a pretty short time-out.

Droid how do you like the galaxy nexus? I really want this but I have at&t. I've thought about the international version and will probably get that if at&t doesn't get it officially. Do you think they will? When?
