Sync 4?

i wonder why you lose nav & sirius...

They said it has something to do with the fact that the Nav and sirius are subscription based. Does that make sense to anyone ?I don’t own I don’t own a gen 3. Perhaps there’s some sort of subscription gateway they can’t get on sync 4?

I just recevied this kit from the seller over the weekend, and I'm hoping to get it installed over the New Years holiday. I will update with how it works and how difficult the installation is once I have it done.

I'm waiting for this but I have a feeling its going to be pricey. I already have the Expedition hvac bezel. This company does it right. They're in the US and they do the programming according to the vin. They also have a Sync3 to Sync 4 upgrade which gets you Apple Carplay (wireless) from the factory.

Just an update on this. I did not realize that the box I got did not have all the parts to do the install. I have contacted the seller and he has been responsive. It appears that the missing parts are on a separate shipment that is supposed to arrive by next weekend. I will update this once I have all the parts.
I forgot to say earlier, it did take 10 weeks from the time I ordered this until I received the first shipment. If I get the rest of the parts this week it will be almost 14 weeks total waiting.

I was going to go this route, but saw lots of comments about how long it took to receive the full order. I ended up ordering the autotecpro. Should get it in the next couple of days

Would you be able to supply a list of the PNs? I would be curious to see what it would take to do this with our them.

It looks like the only custom part is the upper back cover of the bezel.

I am curious if it is just a 3D printed cover. Everything else looks OEM.

They have updated their site and now offer a package with out the Radio controls and hvac. They were charging like 5-600 for these 2 parts and seen on eBay used ones are about half that.

Isn't there an even newer "4A" Sync as well? I thought the big upgrade over Sync 4 is wireless Android Auto.

Pretty sure my wife's '24 Edge has 4A. She doesn't have to plug in her phone to get Google nav, music etc...

I thought 4a was for the EV’s.
