I’ve been having this issue with my 2019 for the last 3 weeks as well. Only difference with mine is that my radio doesn’t reset to AM or lose any presets but forgets the wifi. My Sync has also been acting off since this recurring message thing started such as rear view camera not popping up in reverse, camera getting stuck in rear view, Sync not responding to anything, etc. Definitely have done more soft resets in these last 3 weeks than the last 4 years.

I did do some research on this and several F150 owners, mostly 2019s, have been encountering this issue as early as April of this year. I can’t recall this very moment which forum but someone somewhere posted recently that they spoke to Ford and some OTA update was supposed to come out soon. Maybe @FordTechOne has heard of this?
OTA rarely works on Sync 3; you’re much better off downloading the latest version from the Sync site on to a flash drive and updating it that way.

Really appreciate this thread as my 2019 is having the same issue and I thought it was Operator Error (OE) as in me doing something wrong. Tried a Soft Reset, Master Reset, new battery as I had no idea when the last one was replaced. Here in AZ batteries don't give you a clue they are about to fail especially in our hot weather. Giving it another shot a software update, but the acknowledgement update file is not being written to the thumb drive now the Sync website is stating it is encountering an error and to try again later. This just never ends...
I’ve been out starting driving and turning off the ignition for about 90 minutes. After battery replacement yesterday it APPEARS to work as designed. It is actually my wife’s truck and she will kill me if it leaves her stranded. The only reason I suspect the battery is because someone on this thread indicated his radio resets to AM 87 every time he disconnected the battery. If the message appeared, the radio reset to 87 as well. I bought the truck new in July 2019, which makes the battery four years old and according to google, that is the average life.

IT IS NOT THE BATTERY, THE PROBLEM STILL PERSISTED. I HIT THE MASTER RESET AND SCREEN STAYED BLACK. I THEN FOLLOWED THE DIRECTIONS ON ATTACHED VIDEO AND THANKFULLY SCREEN IS BACK ON. I DONT KNOW F RESET HELPED.

Sorry to beat this like a dead horse, however, the new battery AND master reset did not solve the issue. My wife will just have to live with it. She is half Asian and at least the back up camera works!

Started having the same issues on my '19 about a month or so ago. I do remember my truck prompting me that a Sync Update had been performed about April or May-ish timeframe.
Have done every reset under the sun and not help. Recently got to where I can no longer sync my phone to the truck.
Had Battery Load tested and it is good.
Have done a lot of searching on the internet and there are hundreds if not thousands of F-150 Owners from 2018's to 2020's having the exact same problem and all have started having the issues in the past several months.
I definitely agree with the Software Update likely being the problem.
Too many people having the exact same problems at the same time

I am having issue now too with my Sync 3 Build 22251. Every time I start, I get asked about Auto Update. If I start the truck by the remote, I have a blank screen. I Called Ford and they said they are aware but no timetable to a fix. Buying a new APIM will only be a temp fix as eventually the folder with the setting runs out of space which is apparently the issue. Has anyone looked at the Cyanlabs website concerning this issue and been successful downgrading ? https://community.cyanlabs.net/t/sync-3-4-22251-feedback-issues/6515/198
