As the other guys mentioned, if you were ever considering an aftermarket rear bumper or tiregate, now is the time. Sounds like you wanna replace the stock though, I just hope the dealer doesn't bend you over too bad.

...and I hear ya on the strength of the stock rear bumper.... They are pretty flimsy, but I'm pretty sure they are the exact same as the regular f-150, not Raptor-specific like the front bumper.... Surely someone on here can verify that.


Other notes:

-I love the exit angle on that rear end that pirate posted.

-Raptizzle's rear bumper would've given that post one hell of a fight

Kraka you should PM Scotty ASAP, he may not have gotten rid of his rear yet and Im willing to bet he'd be more gentle on your wallet than the dealer.

I do have the back up camera. But I had someone in the truck with me and distraced me at just the right(wrong) time and I turned my head. Rookie mistake.

Thanks, I was pretty sure that was the case, just didn't want to state it as fact without being 100%.

Kraka, he's right, the market for a lightly used rear bumper is a lot larger than just the Raptor crowd. If you don't get one here from Scotty or another member, you could always check fleabay etc considering lots of people replace f-150 bumpers with the ranch-hands, etc

If you have to go new the bumper is in multiple pieces so you only need to buy the parts you need and not the entire bumper. Try the classifieds on here and the z first I have seen them come up. Dealer will bend you over like a $2 ******. Try some of the online Ford parts places. You can save a few $$ over the dealer.
