Gentleman,
Since I am new to this community, the Raptor, and trucks in general. I can not speak of
off roading in general. Such as I have seen on some of the You Tube Videos.

I see that there is some agressive driving in these video. Not a hellva lot is said about
the supension mods. I will be reading up on them elsewhere.

What I have to add to this thread is that my experience has been paved road courses
and there a Sway bar is without a dought a componant I would not want to be without

My impression here is you don't want the left and right side of your vehicle to move
in unisions with each other. (in the sand, swamp roads washes.) I suppose that would
also be true with rock climming. Please correct me if I am wrong.

I really don't plan on doing a lot of off road driving. I like what the truck looks like
so most of my touring will be on road. I would venture to say that the sway bar would
be benifical there. I take it off road would not benifical.

Does that sum it up. Or is there more that I am unaware of?
Cpomments Please and thanks
Rusty

Honestly, the front independent suspension is much more noticeable without the swaybar even onroad. i haven't noticed a huge amount of body roll onroad, but I have noticed a huge improvement in comfort over bumps. No safety problems either (yet).

But it really feels better, not too much body roll in fact i felt more body roll with the sway bar , lol

I am on the top perch and it rides pretty rough compared to the stock setting. I am going to try this, this weekend. I am just worried about towing. Some one needs to make a quick disconnect. Or a electric one like the power wagon has.

The trophy truck turn, can you lift the front inside wheel? Or are you guys just exaggerating. If you can we need a video.

Being that it's so easy to remove I'm going to drive with it off while off road and see how I like it, and then probably throw it back on and see the difference. This is the only real way to test and every driver prefers different driving characteristics.

Could one just take one of the link bars off and it would be rather quick to reinstall for comparisons?? Sure it would take some wieght off the truck overall... Just a thought..

I think you could take out the end links and just zip tie the sway bar so it won't rotate downwards.

That's what I did. Once the links are off, just rotate the sway bar up until it locks against the frame and tie it off.

Once I realized I wasn't going to need the swaybar anymore, I took it off permanently.

My new truck has just kicked 2000 miles and I'm officially calling her break-in period done. Time for some wheeling.
I'm hitting Ghost River tomorrow for a rocky road and riverbed run and will do a part with the sway bar on, then remove it somewhere on the trail to compare the feel.
I put 40k miles on my 2010 Raptor without ever removing it, but I know I'm keeping this one for a few years longer and want to compare - I have a feeling I will like it as Bojangles stated and it won't go back on.
If I can find a place to take pics or vids I'll post them up.
