Looks pretty sweet. How does this affect the warranty? I know what the service department will say, but anyone had an experience one way or another?

The largest warranty issue you may encounter is the intercooler. By installing the Swarfworks winch mount, you need to make room for the mount itself and the winch. Installing an aftermarket front mount intercooler will void your OEM intercooler warranty and should something else go wrong with the truck, the dealership may attempt to point to the intercooler/winch/accessories as the reason for part failure. With that said, every dealership is different. And they do need to prove that your aftermarket modification is what caused the part to fail in order to void or at the least not honor the warranty.

Planning to do this set up in about a week when parts arrive. Can anyone who's done this, share if the intercooler require a tune? Any changes to performance experience after putting the Full Race in? Last one - one of the threads talked about adaptive cruise sensor - not that I'm a fan or use it, but does this functionality get lost in the process of putting this winch/mount on?

Howdy. So a tune is not required when swapping the intercooler. If you’re looking to get the most power out of it, then yes of course. But if you’re worried about warranty, I would much rather show up at the dealer with an aftermarket intercooler only that with an aftermarket intercooler and tune.

You do not need an aftermarket tune to run an intercooler. To take full advantage of the benefits an intercooler offers, a tune will help. The intercooler by itself does not really add power. It does keep the temps down which in turn allows the engine to maintain higher power for longer periods of time. If you're not changing your bumper, you won't need to mess with the ACC sensor and/or relocating it. If your truck is equipped with the ACC, it wil still function just as it always has even after adding the winch and intercooler.

PSA - Winch Option: Zeon Platinum wireless controller is definitively the only solid option.


If you make this choice - be certain to purchase Zeon Platinum with the wireless controller. Looking through this and other threads, there is a lot of ambiguity and only one specific reference that I can find that says this but a lot of noise to sift through.

Yes - other winch options work (as a lot of people have shared). However, unless you want to reach under the skid plate to release the clutch get the Zeon Platinum with the wireless controller. visions of night time snow/mud situations standing there with button down waiting for the cable to let out.

If you want to read my whiney saga look further down but its irrelevant to the point so I put some space between this and that...I hope the experienced enjoy a laugh at this and the my fellow noobs avoid learning the same lesson the way I diid.








Also, if you're a rookie at this like me, and you order the wrong one, Warn will not exchange an open box. My shop forgot to follow through on their "we go straight to manufacturers and ask before we purchase to make sure we have all the right parts" promise. They also forgot the lights that go with it, which are now on backorder.

Looks great, works great. Just that one very important point about the clutch to make it a very disappointing experience. That said, the shop did own it for not double checking and is making it right. And I get to have the first of many learning experiences as i pursue this new adventure.

A little late to the party, but I'd like to point out that the Icon bumper is close to the dimensions of the OE bumper (even uses the OE skid plate) and is likely the only option for an aftermarket bumper with the SW winch mount. The only one close that I've seen is the ADD pro bolton V2 but it has some very tight tolerances to the frame horns and I don't think it would work...at least not without some cutting/grinding.
