Busa, not sure if it's too late or won't work out (I understand if it is or won't work) but I'd like to keep it under the 2/3 and mount the amp remotely instead of inside the box, that way I can keep the 1/3 for my small survival bag and some other gear like tow straps and what not.

the amp wont fit there in a dual woofer setup. so it does have to go semewhere else

well i havent worked out all the details yet, but unfortunately it will be a bit pricey. the cost of materials was a bit high, due to getting the right fiberglass mat and resin. the standard fiberglass wasnt going to be good enough, so i went and ordered marine grade mat and resin. it is the same stuff used on boats. the mat is woven to give the highest possible strength. because jumping a truck is much like a boat jumping waves on the water, i wanted to make sure that this box can withstand the beating some of you guys will be giving it. but when it comes down to it probably $500 for this box and $600 for the dual 12 box. im still not sure people here will go for it, so like i said, i want to wait for SVTCALI to fully test his setup, and maxx to test his setup. if they can honestly say that it is worth the money, then they will be for sale, if they think its not, these 2 guys got a hell of a deal, and i will most likely not produce anymore.

I love a box that can take a good pounding, lol.

Sounds like you have set them up for success.

How are all the connections made? Solder?

the only connections needed was to interface the oem input wires from the oem amp. but yes the wires were soldered, however i do know that solder can break, so it as to be a sold connection

my whole idea when building this box, is that it can outlast your suspension. if your truck breaks before my box does, then i built it right
