heat should not be a problem with this setup. once the fiberglass has been laid there will be a section cut out to allow for air flow. also the rockford amps dont get as hot as others.

here are the pics of the box almost finished........ i need to paint the mounting brackets. the brackets are mounted to the side of the box and then i added 3 more layers of fiberglass on top of it. now they are part of the box. some of the pictures are blurry....... sorry, my ipad camera sucks........

also notice the amount of space above the woofer. now it is impossible for it to hit the bottom of the seat and damage the woofer

so do you think that Pioneer will hit harder than a JL W0?
yes, it does. this woofer is what my reps from other manufacturers compare when trying to get me to carry their line of shallow mounts. you will be surprised at the amount of sound that comes from it. also being a slim woofer it does not take up as much space so i am able to port it which gives you lower frequencies.

as with all sealed boxes you wont get the lower frequency, however this woofer in a sealed box only requires .4 cu.ft. of airspace and will definitely give you what you are looking for and more. these speakers come in multiple sizes and power ratings, up to 400 watts for the 12s.
