In my ghetto they just steal your whole f-ing truck!!! I wish they just stole my stupid bumps...or my shocks for that matter. The worst part was the $200 gift cards I had to Flemings. ****** me off still knowing those were probably used at Outback Steakhouse for some losers to get crappy steak and a Fosters.

Sorry Jarrett, I had to vent. Back on topic...any bumpstop kit opens the bumps up for theft. Lights can be stolen, shocks, radios etc etc etc. I can also bet that if Jarrett or Jeff haven't busted the bolts off yet no one should worry about whether or not they will sheer off. Those guys know a thing or two about destructive testing.

The issue with theft really has nothing to do with a bump kit anyway. Auto thefts are relative to what expensive parts are needed quite often and is also in relation to crooked wrecking yards and chop shops. No thief would even know what to do with a bump kit. How many bump kits have been stolen? I could be wrong here. Certain parts on these trucks are ignored by most thiefs. I wouldn't even worry about it. Worry more about your OEM Navi being stolen.

The SVC kit runs a 2.5" King or Fox bump vs Icon 2.0 and the overall size of the kit is virtually identical in size to an RPG kit with the main mounting plates welded to both the inside of the main frame support, plus welded on the entire exterior section as well. I cant think of another kit on the market that does this. The 3 main bolts we supply to attach the can are aircraft grade quality bolts with roughly a 170,000 psi tensile strenght each. The chances of you shearing those off are slim to none. To give you idea the shear capacity of a grade 8 bolt is rated too 27,920 pounds, and the bolts we supply are about 6,000 pounds stronger than that per bolt meaning you have about 18,000 pounds in reserve. A grade 8 would have been strong enough for the application but just don't look as cool. Think of it this way, Raptors have seen 3.0 shocks rip off shock mounts before sheering even a single bolt. Long story short, barring some deffect in all 3 bolts, you will damage a thousand other things on your truck before you could ever blow the cans off the truck.

Also, we changed the production version of the bump kits upper section to add a little more structure vs. the prototype kits, and it wasn't cause it needed it. I really just wanted it to look a little bit cooler.

I'll post up some pics tonight of the production version but for now you can see it in the CAD pics on the ABS page. Those are what the actual production versions look like.

Thanks

Jarrett/SVC:

Just to clarify, are the actual pictures on your site the production version or prototype. The CAD pictures and actual pictures look the same.
