It’s a bit ‘customized’ so the appeal may be a bit lower. How many miles?

I paid 50 for a ‘17 SCAB 802a about a year ago so I’d expect similar if you’re in the 25k mile range but that’s all I know. Mine was stock. If I had to undo all those red accents, and wonder what else you may have modded, I would’ve been less enthusiastic but still, SCABs are hard to find. Unfortunately so are SCAB buyers.

90% of Gen 2s are screws because they also make a perfect 4 door family vehicle, so they are perfect for resale and have a bigger market. Scabs are for the pure off-road owners and while they may not be appealing to some buyers/dealerships, they are revered by others and can fetch a premium depending on miles/options because they can be hard to find. Screws are easy to find used, scabs not so much. Today on ebay there are 105 Raptor screws for sale and 8 scabs.

The base MSRP was also $3K less so take that into account. No hard data to support it, but it wouldn't surprise me if scabs were more likely to be ordered as base trucks (801 vs 802) or less highly optioned. Similarly haven't seen hard data showing that supercabs depreciate more either...

When I was shopping SCABs I found this to be true. I’m the opposite of a hardcore offroad enthusiast. I wanted an 802a loaded to the gills but didn’t want the massive length and rear seat room because my kids are 3 and 5. They weigh 25 and 35 lbs. I won’t need that room for a decade or more. It’s a big truck and
I’ve never driven a truck daily before.

There’s a small but strong market for a well outfitted SCAB. you gotta do the legwork yourself. It’s definitely a niche market and not just the high end truck market.

Currently living in GA and have a 2018 fully optioned SCAB with a few minor mods. People/dealers seem to value them way less compared to a base screw. Any opinions?

I mean it looks.... fine. it’s just a little ... “length challenged”. I hate to hear a Raptor brother in such a conundrum though.

I’ll give you 500 bucks for it right now. Will come and pick it up too. ;)

when i bought my 19 a year ago, there was 10 used 19 scabs in the whole country, and 3 were 802a.. i flew 500mi away to buy the one i did..

I think there was only about 50 total, new and used 19 scabs at the time.

you're looking for a specific buyer, and the dealership may know this already. you might be better selling it yourself if you're not in a big hurry.
