Had a feeling it might be too good to be true. Thank you, iceman.

Why do I get the impression Iceman is a CPA or something comparable!?!?!

Not too far from the truth. I was a financial advisor for several years so I know some tax code. I'm a mutual fund wholesaler now.

To further clarify, Section 179 is a portion of tax code that is strictly business related. It would not apply to any of us looking to deduct our trucks from our personal taxes.

As for Irrex, since his truck is tied to business use, he has a means to write off the depreciation on his truck... as long as his CPA doesn't pull out the tape measure and notice that the bed is 6 inches too short to qualify. This is one of those gray areas that the IRS would be likely to miss.

Ever see the movie "Zombie Land" with Woody Harrelson?

When 2012 comes along, you never know if some ********* will need a ride in your truck...

I keep some MRE's/Guns/Ammo/Water/Fuel/Tools... I tell ya, as long as we don't get an EMP pulse from the sun in 12-21-2012 that disables my Raptor, I could literally live out of my truck for weeks if I had to bug out IF I had to.

The SCREW isn't "that" much more money... and well worth it if the SHTF. Also, resale value... I believe in future, the majority of people would rather have a SCREW than a SCAB.
