Hmmm wonder why the Ford manual states to use ptfe.

Where are you seeing that in the manual? The TSB specifically states Krytox GPL-205.

Oh the tsb may state that I mean the workshop manual for every other vehicle states to use ptfe for Lincoln's and other ford Vista roof track cleaning procedures

Yeah $2000 for the “new design track/frame and 2 new motors “
And that’s whole sale prices not retail I’m a parts guy I’ve had to order 11 of them for trade

From what I've seen on here, the majority of people aren't have to get new motors, as only the plastic parts are breaking.

Having no issues with my G2 sunroof, just apply Krytox every couple months.

Picked up a bottle of that too, s h i t is expensive! I am gonna try out this Super Lube silicone with PTFE stuff on my wife's Jetta as the test bunny. Never hurts to have more lube!

I’ve had mine for 4+ as well, with no isssues. It’s just like everything else in life, no one goes out of their way to say “Everything’s fine!”. You only hear the squeaky wheels

Mine drove me nuts and I took good care of it. Rattled leaked at one time. Did not order with one. Heavy as well in the wrong place u want heavy

Same here. Didn’t order on my 37 since I off-road it and don’t need the hassle. And if it’s squeaks did loose my sheeet!
