It’s not like this is an everyday occurrence.

Saying this is like saying “ oh I’m glad I didn’t buy a house” because someone hot water heater broke.

get real.
I am “getting real”, when you read all the cumulative problems people have had with said roof, I’m glad I didn’t buy a truck with one. Does that suit your feelings a little better?

I’ve replaced everything in my house as well, because I now know what has been done and to my level of quality, I’m sure that irks you too....

No. If the engine wasn't covered but the oil pump was, and THAT caused the engine to seize, then they would warrant both because the engine is downstream from the faulty oil pump...the engine wouldn't have seized otherwise. That's how they see it.

Gotcha. Glass isn't covered. Yet another reason to avoid the moonroof. I'm glad I found one without.

That's not a good analogy. A broken water heater does not render a house uninhabitable, only provides for uncomfortable showers. Unless you're like me who will take cold showers, but I digress...

A shattered sunroof renders the vehicle pretty much useless unless you like driving around with small pieces of glass falling into your eyes, on your clothes, etc. It also makes the interior no longer weatherproof, and subject to the elements.

A better analogy would be if you bought a house and the roof flew off. Or one of the exterior walls fell down and then you had to rent a hotel room until everyone agreed upon a method of repair, and who's paying for all of it.

Just **** ford.... why are they such cheap ******** when it comes to warranty. Never seen anything like it before.

EVERY business is cheap when it comes to warranty.

the reason is simple.

that comes directly off the profit margin.

no, it doesn't.

get your ass a camera and take 100 pictures of the damage.

then get some duct tape and tape the hell out of it.

boom, temporary fix.

if that just won't cut it because the damage is too extensive.

get a rental car and suck it up. it's a truck, shit happens. you got unlucky.

All manufacturers treat glass damage the same way, because 99% of the time the damage is caused by an impact. When a sunroof cracks in the manner that the OPs did, it can be difficult to determine root cause. It’s not about “being cheap”, it’s about establishing defect vs damage.

Ligthen up Francis.

Shit breaks all the time. Even with your “level of quality”

Mine broke. Got it fixed and the sun still rose without a protest of “wish I didn’t get one”
