Stupid Things People Say About Raptors

Had a lady ask me if it was a Jurassic Park edition truck (Raptor) I said I don't think so and laughed as I walked away.

One late night on the rig this thread provided me a few hours of laughter and tonight I get to add my own. While at a friends house one of his neighbor kids (19 year old) said to me "its a cool truck and all but when i buy the new one with the antimatium body i'm going to slam it on 30's cause that would be sick". The kicker to this story is he said this is right after he just went on about how he needs to find a place cause his 17 year old girlfriend is pregnant and his parents are going to kick him out when they find out. SMH

As I read this I couldnt help but face palm myself... smh.

I hate when people will have a lesser vehicle than you, down your vehicle, but you sit there trying not to hurt their feelings about having a lesser vehicle. If you'd return the snide remarks they shoot off, they'd get so damn mad. It really puzzles me how people just come out of nowhere with a straight faced insult basically...immediately trying to devalue your vehicle. I feel bad for them & just walk away...never would I say something about a vehicle to the owner of say an Audi R8 V8, "shoulda got the V10!". There's people out there that would say that too...and they'd be butthurt if the owner replied with something like ," well, what do you drive?". Tons of people are envious, shameful asshats nowadays.

Where I live this is the constant type of ******** that I have to deal with. Im not the type to put people down or talk shit about what they do or do not have. I am all about positivity but 100 percent of the time you can't fix stupid. I had a guy that drove a 98 chevy silverado come up to me and talked about how I should've bought a chevy Reaper, and how much better they are than the Raptor. keep in mind what he drives, has never driven a Raptor or Reaper and is trying to tell me what is better. The best part of the story is that in El Paso, TX I have yet to see a chevy Reaper, they technically do not even exsist here. I tuned him out after the first few sentences that came out of his mouth then told him I was going to meet up with some friends and that I had to leave.

Going into Oceano Dunes on 07/26/15 I saw some fat guy with his even fatter son looking at my Raptor while standing at Fin's (restaurant at the entrance to Oceano). When I got to the Ranger's station to enter he said "Tundra's are better!" as I was looking for my pass to enter. I heard him but didn't look up so he said it even louder trying to get my attention. I didn't look up hoping to get him to yell it for a 3rd time.

Apparently there was two old people behind them, parents I guess... and the old lady said a name and "_____ nobody cares about your truck."

So I looked up immediately and smiled at the fat guy then waived to the old lady!
