My two roommates constantly tell me that I bought a pretty truck that can be matched by an off-the-lot Ram 1500, Easily. That, or I just overpaid on a truck that I DON'T need.

^Lol I just honestly endorse the saying: Buy Once, Cry Once. :winner_third_h4h: Why settle for less?

I mean trading in is fine... if you are willing to take some loss but I learned from experience w/ my S197 'stang you can't MAKE a Shelby GT500 w/o $$$ and TIME. $$$ no problem, the Time factor of logistics for all the parts and shop visits = headache. Might as well start at the top and keep on going!

2 days into owning my truck and I got "I would never pay that much for a truck" from a coworker this morning. I replied, the only reason you wouldn't is because you can't afford a truck like that, get in your ranger and leave. ********

I've gotten the "Your husband actually lets you drive his truck?" at least 6 times already, and it got old after the 2nd time.

The response should be "no...actually sometimes I let him drive MY truck thankyou"

I cannot stand comments like this. It just makes me honestly like to rear up and punch the guy 'cause it feels as if they are implying they would do something to my truck if I rubbed them the wrong way.

I just cannot stand jealous people in general. I believe its due to the fact that since we/us Raptor owners are in close proximity to our everyday co-workers/roommates/associates they think everyone is your Average Joe and when We go against the grain and get something "nicer" they perceive we can't have it. But you have to ask yourself why is that so when you do not hear them comment on Millionaires/Billionaires spend fortunes for something absurd like buying an entire parking garage for one car, etc.

The other day, walking into the store while my motor was running, a guy walking out said, "I am so jealous." He turned and looked at me, then looked in the truck at my wife, and just shook his head, like the truck was a waste on me. It probably was because I am 52, overweight and grey headed, while my wife is my same age. Somehow, he doesn't know that I was jumping trucks, and bashing off road well before someone even fantasized about a Raptor.

kind of off topic, but my 17 year old nephew wanted to drive mine yesterday, so we took off. He had a smile ear to ear while driving it. He said do you how fast ******* would drop if I drove this to high school one day. Man I wish I would have had this think 20 years ago, it would have been packed by ladies.
