Raptor Team,

Hello. Just got my first raptor and working a small list of easy mods first. I wanted to check and see if there is any downside to removing factory and putting on a short stubby antenna? Also would love reccos on the ones you have seen/bought that you liked. Thanks for the help on my dream truck!
5 years with my stubby...no issues....no brainer yes

The whole point of the antenna is to know your height. You know when you drive into those indoor garage and they have those height bars?
It gives you a guide for your truck roof height. I believe the antenna is couple of inches higher than the roof.
That was what Ford was thinking. I keep it because we have so many low ceiling underground garages here in California

I removed the Ronin 50 cal subby antenna that came on the truck when I bought it and replaced it with an OEM whip. To me they stick out like a sore thumb, and although the OEM antenna is longer it's not as noticeable.

Not a fan of the stubby look, but I got tired of OEM hitting my garage door and dragging along the parking garage while I still hade plenty of clearance, so I trimmed my OEM antenna. Cut off enough that the antenna is only 2 inches taller than the truck so clears the garages and can be used as better guide for where the truck fits and still looks factory. If my antenna hits I know I don't fit.
