Stripped lug nut?

I ended up taking it to the tireshop 10 blocks away. They cut it off for 2 bucks lol. Can't beat that.

Those look like generic 7 splines? The gorilla heat treated 6 splines are much nicer and the keys are stronger. And the best part is, if there is room you can use a 6 point 3/4" socket instead of a key if needed.

Yes, you're correct. These were the 7 spline cheapo's. Good info on the Gorilla nuts.

How'd you get the stripped lug out? I'm thinking I might have to grab a 5/16 chisel and start cutting.

remove the cheap chrome metal so you dont have the damaged material trying to push into the socket

This just happened last week. But the lug nut just broke off. I chiseled what i could and no luck with the torque those are put on with. Took to a local tire shop and he used a bteaker bar and a 1 1/8 socket and a BIG Hammer. Not in that order. And it eased right off. GL
