Ok so the Honda Accord next door to me was stolen last night, no idea why it was singled out because we live in the back of a gated community, so they had some balls! I was out of town with my truck so it was not there but this hit a little too close to home literally!! My truck and my wife's jeep sit outside because there is no room for hers and the Raptor doesn't fit.

So my question is What does everyone do for security? Is it better to go with a full alarm, or maybe just some sort of immobilizer? And does anyone have any experience with any shops in the Phoenix area that does good work on something like this? I've never had an alarm on any of my other cars.

I don't really want to do a whole separate fob for the alarm, I really like that everything is on the key!

Thanks for any input,
Marc

A kill switch should work perfectly. You could mount that anywhere under the dash and no one would know. And ya, that is a little scary, but thieves seem to target Hondas the most. To steal a Raptor you would have to have a serious set on you, not to many of those on the road and probably pretty hard to part out.

Who's guarding the gate? Get a new guard and then you don't need a new alarm system....

I am just looking into the Viper SmartStart now, remote starter, security system with an app for your phone. I use a Windows phone and the Viper seems to be the only compatible system

I know a couple of really good alarm installers on the east side. I also know that the only vehicle I have ever had tampered with had an alarm on it. If you are willing to go to Mesa, I have a couple of recommendations for you.
