Hi - I have a stock exhaust system on my 2013 Supercab and the tips are pretty beat up from the previous owner. I wanted to replace them with either a pretty cool black chrome or black powder coated tips but wasn't sure about the size or length for a direct replacement. I appreciate your help!

I replaced the original Scab exhaust system with a true dual Stainless Works Lightning style exit. There is a thread about it, actually two threads, one of which is about db sound levels. I have the original tail pipe tips from the truck if you are interested. They are in average to good condition. No dents or dings.

Bump. Nobody? I want to replace the OEM tips only and keep the stock piping with a weld in Magnaflow...the previous post didn't answer his question at all

Well, I can help you with info about the Magnaflow P/N 12388 direct weld-in muffler. It has all of the same dimensions as that of the factory muffler, but it's a flow-through design unlike the factory unit. You can see right through it. Sounds pretty good, doesn't it?

I'm sorry I did it.

The factory muffler has a raspy sound to it at large throttle openings. I nearly scared a guy in a Miata off the road when I passed him because of the loud, raspy factory muffler. It added to the character of the Raptor. The Magnaflow is smooth. Too smooth. That raspy characteristic is gone now. I wish I had it back.

No advantages to the Magnaflow. No MPG increase, no power increase, no nothing. Just a deep, smooth, and otherwise unremarkable exhaust note.

I'd stick with the factory muffler if I were you. I wish I had.

Thank you so much for that info! All I want is just a little more sound. Don't want it to be annoying with my wife and kids in the truck. I was hoping just a simple weld in job we ouod save me some $$ so I could put that towards new wheels... Deep and smooth doesn't sound bad at all. Do u have a video of it by chance? Are u saying that at WOT it's lame? Hmm. Maybe I should get a more agressive option...

Deep and smooth absent the raspy.

If you want to save money, stay with the factory muffler. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it.

Well I'm putting in the 18" Magnaflow tomorrow. Should be a little louder. I'll post a review asap.

Might be late on this but I wanted the same thing, just a little louder but not loud enough to **** off the wife.

I went with the Borla 40349. It's a little shorter than the stock muffler but the muffler shop just added a few inches of 3" tubing on the front side of the muffler and it is in the stock muffler location.

Deeper sound at start up and slightly deeper at idle. At WOT you can really hear the difference.

I've only had it for a few weeks but so far so good.
