Steering wheel peeling/scratched

Anyone else have this issue? Can anything be done to prevent this from peeling more? It’s not 2 years old yet.

Do you or your SO wear rings? I had some wear on my Edge in a similar location from wearing my wedding ring.

You could take the trim off and clear bra it.

Yup, I bought a knockoff carbon fiber plate off Amazon to cover it up. Works great and matches the rest of the CF.

My Gen1 steering wheel had a cracking/peeling issue. Took it in and was covered under warranty no questions asked. Mine cracked on the outside edge at the 11 o'clock position and was beginning to peel a little bit.

I was just going to ask if you wear a heavy ring, first thing I thought of. If your SO drives it does she wear cuff bracelets?

I only wear my wedding band but don’t think I hit that part of the wheel. Wife is pregnant so she’s not wearing any jewelry. I’ll keep an eye out when driving it from now on. Thank you.
