Steering wheel marker wearing out

As you can see from the picture, the red marker on the steering wheel is wearing out bad. Just turned 10K miles on the truck. Also as you can see near the bottom, the leather is kind of folded in on itself. I want to get this fixed but looking briefly at the stitching, I'm assuming this would be an entire steering wheel replacement? I'm also hoping that this doesn't fall under any "normal wear and tear" scenario like brakes. Not too impressed that this thing is wearing out so quickly.

Yea this is something that happens mine is starting to wear out on the sides as well I have just under 50,000 on mine

Just got my steering wheel replaced under ESP - Warranty today. Stripe was getting black and couldn't be washed. Ford covered it. Thanx Ford!
