Stay away from Mishimoto Radiators

I do most of my own work, have a lift in my garage...but my time is money. The downtime of my truck is money even though I have other cars. I offroad in a lot of remote places including Baja and the risk of a radiator failure is something I just won't accept. My second failure happened four months after I got my replacement. These guys are building a trash radiator that doesn't work and unless people start demanding full refunds or simply not buying them they won't change.

I probably come across as bitter because this radiator has been the single worst experience on my truck. I hate Mishimoto.

nah you’re good, it really sucks and now I’m more concerned. We’ll see what happens, I’m just gonna hope for the best at this point since I’m up and running again and I can’t do anything until the next failure. At that point at least I can say I gave them and their warranty a shot but they’ll have to do more than a replacement

Unfortunately I don't have a way to weld aluminum if it fails, but I usually carry a stop leak with all my other stuff. It's holding pressure right now, but it could certainly leak later. I'm still waiting for the AirLift vacuum test system to arrive before I finish the install.

i carry some leak stopper too. which do you prefer? i find the white to do good with the small leaks, but the larger brown ones do better on the bigger leaks.

huh.... dog kibbles. now a new item i have to carry with me. but at least if im stranded hundereds of miles from a town, i can eat those as well
