viper 5904 is what i have installed in my truck. even though i have the oem remote start, i wanted longer range and visual/audible confirmation of lock/unlock and remote start. i can get you a great deal on them. i also have video of the install process if you want to try to tackle the job by yourself.

Is there anyway to get the factory remote start "features" with a system that can be started from cell phone?

basically all i care about in the factory is the automatic set temp and turn heated seats on....

I'm surprised ford doesn't do the cell phone app for it already. I know my mom's car (chevy cruze) has the ability to start with her phone, and it's just a chevy app. Probably via on-star if i had to guess.

yes, dei makes the smart start module which lets you use your device to operate the alarm. im not sure about the heated seat..... i will check in a while
