A DC fast charger could go 80 percent on that battery within a couple of hours
Whats that a like 640 volts ? Lol if you get stuck with zero batt do you call one of those tow trucks with a gas powered generator to recharge to to get it moving again? I cant wait to see that on the side of the road.

How many Raptors see off road? I bet it is less than 10 percent

There is a difference between % of time on and off road and never ever getting off the road. I'll admit that mine rarely gets off-road, but I have taken it on a few day trips and once to an offroad park overnight.

There is no way I'm taking a Hummer from Houston to San Antonio, then from SA to a park west of Austin overnight, then back to Houston the next day. No problem with a Raptor, filled up for 10 minutes once. I would have spent a ton of time looking for charging and waiting for a charge with a Hummer, if I could even pull it off over all.

And really, if EV trucks are considered 'standard' that any truck is included and adding 'standard' is kind of pointless.

That's an objective statement though, not a relative one. doesnt change the fact the raptor is the best off the lot off-road vehicle ever made

Tacomas TRD and the new Tundra TRD are pretty tough. Nissan PRO 4Xs are pretty good too. The Raptor is a good truck but the best I am not sure of that one.

If you've ever seen the 20 mile traffic jam when people are evacuating New Orleans due to a hurricane, and sitting in stalled traffic for 6 hours, I doubt EVs are practical. Although it would be interesting seeing extension cords all over the I-10 from nearby homes. Don't know what you would do once you get to the swamps.

So, I'm not sure that being stalled in traffic will wear down an EV battery since it's not driving. The R1T for example has 2 large 12v batteries in the frunk that support the vehicle accessories and that doesn't affect the batteries in the skate board platform that actually power the vehicle. I think most electric vehicles have additional 12v batteries for accessories as well. Plus, there are a lot of other people in the world that don't live in swamps and have access to chargers. For sure, electric vehicles aren't for everyone. It took a while to grow on me as well and I'm in the city.

So youre saying you'd spend 100k for commuting around the city and never going off-road, which is all the current EVs are good for. Try to argue an EV being good for anything else all you want. All the real world evidence is out there already and there's no practical sense behind an off-road EV.
You haven't done your homework on the Rivian R1T obviously. Mine cost me $ 78,*** and I should have it next month.

Heard something interesting about the lighting. Ford says do not flat tow. I assume that is when you would put the transfer case in neutral and pull it behind another vehicle.

Do you know if Rivian is the same.
